dancing-feet2-1024x686As I was reflecting on the coming of the new year, I decided that this is going to be a Year of Abundance. Over the holidays, we tend to wish each other health, happiness, love and prosperity. We invoke the spirit of abundance. But when the holidays are over, we recycle the greeting cards and go back to our daily routines. Abundance was nothing but a nice idea.

Or can it be more than that? What would it take to live it every single day of the year? We would have to dance with it.

Here are your dance steps:

  1. Each morning when you wake up, remind yourself that today is a day of abundance.
  2. Remind yourself that you are ready to receive it.
  3. Throughout the day, pay close attention to thoughts and actions of scarcity and fear, and abandon them in celebration of the Infinite Power which you are part of.
  4. Give thanks each time you recognize when you trip up or fall out of step.
  5. Take a breath and smile.
  6. Start over from step 2.

Each of those steps is important, but step 3 makes all the difference. Our fearful thoughts are often so pervasive that we don’t even notice them or realize that they run our lives. Here are a few areas where you can start to look for them, and conquer:

Time: What is your experience of time? Do you feel you have enough of it, or do you always feel you are running out of time?

Money: What is your relationship with money? Do you feel anxious about spending it?

Physical energy/health: How do you experience your health and vitality? Do you wish you had more energy? Do you like the way you look?

Love: Do you feel loved, or that other people are withholding? Do you feel jealousy?

You can also write your abundance vision on a note card, or use it for passwords on your computer.

Remember, abundance is not something we win in the lottery.
It is something that wins us.

Hope to see you on the dance floor!
